Just Sassa

This is the pre-viz, sort of, for my film. These are all my finished and rendered scenes made in Maya, before I take them into after effects to work on them. Because of this, some of the scenes don't make sense, and in places where there is no 3D animation, I have just used still images from my storyboard as placeholders. Also there is no sound.

I did a test on my pollen flying in the wind, and I think they work really well for their purpose!

After a lot of trial and error while rigging my plant, I think I finally found the right solution. Here is a test I did. 

I am basically finished with the flower model, now I just have to work out how to rig it. The flower is a big part of the film, and I need it to work properly. I am not entirely sure about the colours, but I like the flat look that the toon shader gives it.

Today I have been modelling the flower that will be in my film, Anemophily. It is not complete yet. I need to make the "tunnel" that the camera will follow through, as well as the chamber inside containing the egg. Here are some progress shots!

I updated my animatic with the changes. The music is only a placeholder for now.

I decided to update my influence map with an image from Charley Harper, as his style has inspired me a lot when working on this project.  My first storyboard draft on post-it notes. I will post my finished storyboard shortly.
